Rizwan Ahmad received M.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering and Media Technology from the University of Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany in 2004 and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia in 2010. From 2010 to 2012, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Qatar University on a QNRF grant. He is currently working as Assistant Professor at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. He also leads the Communication Systems and Networking (CSN) research group at NUST. His research interests include medium access control protocols, spectrum and energy efficiency, energy harvesting and performance analysis for wireless communication and networks. He has published and served as a reviewer for IEEE journals and conferences. He also serves on the TPC of leading conferences in the communication and networking field, including, e.g. IEEE VTC, IEEE ICC, IEEE Globecom. He is a member of IEEE. He was the recipient of the prestigious International Postgraduate Research Scholarship from the Australian Government.

Maham Waheed received Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, and Master’s degree in Telecommunication and Computer Networks from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. She is currently working as a senior research assistant at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, NUST. Her research interests span performance analysis and energy modelling of wireless communication and networks, body area networks, and public safety networks. She has served as an Ad Hoc Reviewer for International Journal of Distributed Systems and Technologies (IJDST).


Ali Hassan

Ali Hassan received BSEE degree in telecommunication and electronics from The University of Lahore, Pakistan in 2018 and MS degree in Electrical Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan in (2018-Continue). He received certificate of excellence for achieving academic excellence in Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in the Session Fall 2014. He is currently working as Research Assistant at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. His research interest include Software defined networking, Blockchain, energy Harvesting, Internet of things and public safety and critical networks. He is a Research Assistant of NATO-SPS-G5482.


Dr. Waqas Ahmed

Waqas received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Victoria University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia, in 2012. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Islamabad, Pakistan. His research interests include cognitive radios, cooperative communication, and physical layer aspects of wireless communication and networks.

Sadaf Javed received B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Mirpur University of Science & Technology (MUST), Azad Kashmir, Pakistan in 2018 and currently doing MS in Electrical Engineering from National University of Science & Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Pakistan. She was recipient of “Merit Scholarship” for each semester from MUST and “State Talent Scholarship” from Government of AJ&K, Pakistan based on her academic performance during undergraduate studies. She is currently working as a research assistant at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST. Her research interests include, Block-chain, energy Harvesting, Internet of things, Security, public safety networks, cooperative communication networks.




Tayyeba Tassawar

Tayyeba Tassawar received her Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences from COMSATS University Islamabad, Lahore in 2019. She is doing her Masters in Telecommunication and Computer Networks from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad, Pakistan. She is currently working as a Research Assistant at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, NUST. Her research interests span Public Safety Networks, Software Defined Networks (SDN), SDN-based Unmanned Aerial vehicles (UAV) in disaster scenarios, security, and energy harvesting and performance analysis for wireless communication and networks.




Rubab Zahra Batool

Previously, she had worked as an Internee at PTCL data center Lahore for six weeks. She is currently working as Research Assistant at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. In bachelor she did his final year project in “A Secure IoT Based Healthcare System with Body Sensor Networks”. Her research interest include machine learning, fuzzy logic system, block-chain, energy harvesting, Internet of things and public safety and critical networks. Hassan Ishtiaq Minhas

Hassan Ishtiaq is currently pursuing MS degree in Telecom and Networking from SEECS, NUST, prior to his MS, completed Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from HITEC University Taxila, where, his core modules are wireless communication, antenna and microwave, computer communication networks, power electronics, instrumentation and measurement and stochastic systems. Besides core modules he is well versed in programming languages namely C, C++, Ns3, MATLAB and pursuing Python to enhance his reach towards Machine Learning and automating processes. Previously, he had worked as an Internee at PTCL Corporation for six weeks also for four weeks at Tesla Solar. Along with industry he worked on multiple projects during his Bachelors some of them are Development of Electronic Attendance System with the Inclusion of Near Field Communication ID Cards and Biometric Fingerprint Identifier, Two wheel self-balancing robot using PIDs. Green House Monitoring system, Design of 4G (LTE) Antenna.


Engr. Muhammad Saifullah

Muhammad Saifullah received B.Sc. degree in Telecommunication engineering from UET Peshawar, in 2018, and M.Sc. degree in Electrical engineering (Telecom and Computer Networks) from the National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad (In Progress). His area of research is relay selection in wireless adhoc and cellular networks and also exploiting machine learning techniques for optimal resource allocation. While perusing his B.Sc. degree he did his final year research project in “Bayesian Inference based relay selection in cooperative Networks”. In 2016, he worked with Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) as a trainee engineer. In 2017, he worked with ZongCMPak which is a Pakistan mobile network operator. Currently he is working on machine learning techniques for optimal resource allocation in wireless communications. He is a research assistant of NATO-SPS-G5482 grant.
